Everglades solo exhibition – April , 2021
The Micro and the Macro of Nature represent two interconnected scales of existence, where the smallest components reflect and influence the largest systems.
Jo Truman spent a month exploring the beautiful Everglades , an historical homestead with vast, beautiful wild, curated and landscaped garden in leura, Blue Mountains. drawing and painting beautiful large vistas of the gardens and bushscapes, and studying, drawing and painting the smallest delicate botanical specimens such as fungi and flowers.
In one watercolour/graphite work Jo captures Japanese Windflowers growing in the garden, complete with pollinating bee:

In another larger work she captures the dramatic shelf of a rock face on a pathway down to the waterfall at The Grotto, in coloured inks.
